Needing Motivation?

What do you do when Motivation is lacking?

You've decided to embark on an exercise regime and have been eating clean for a few weeks. Then all of a sudden life gets in the way. It could be work stress, family or relationship dramas...whatever the case, your head is not in training mode anymore and your diet is not the best.

But you were so determined to lose that winter flab and fit into your favourite summer outfit. Now you're back to square one. We've all been there and it's frustrating!

OK. Take a step back and reassess your current situation. If work is giving you grief then the best thing for you to do is train! And train Hard! It's the ultimate outlet for stress. And being in the gym, or going outside for a run or a power walk will surely clear your mind and release some endorphines to lift your mood (even just a little).

If you're dealing with more emotional matters then it's alright to take some time off and figure things out. But don't leave it too long. Once you've established a good exercising habit, keep at it! The longer you leave it, the futher and futher away these good habits get, and before you know it you're not training at all.

If you're just in a rut and feel like you're getting nowhere with your current training plan, then get some personal training sessions. Variety is key. Doing the same exercises for months on end won't get you far. Try changing your exercise program every 4-6 weeks and always Up your weights. You want to challenge your body each time you train.

Still unconvinced...? Call me for a free session :)
